






The town of Lubrin is just 5 minutes walk from the villa, the village that sits high in the Sierra de Los Filabres. It
began as a medieval settlement to become what is now a charming enclave of tranquillity
and tradition.
The village
has interesting architecture and the Parish Church de la Virgin del Rosario, built
in the late 19th century, stands out with its electric style.
There are several cafe/bars
in the village, the Los Molinos restaurant has been recently been voted the best
tapas bar in Almeria. It has 3 mini markets, a post office, pharmacy and a town hall with internet cafe
The No. 1 place for tapas in Almeria. The Wednesday market provides
an abundance of fresh fruit and vegetables.
The villagers of Lubrin observe the Fiesta
del Pan (Fiesta of Bread) in honour of San Sabastián every 20th January. Illuminations
are held every 14th August.
There are many small hamlets around Lubrin well worth
visiting to experience the traditional Andalusian lifestyle.
